March Update from Prakash Pamu in India
Dorcas Sewing Centers
Tribal Dorcas Sewing Center
There are currently nine Dorcas Sewing Centers operating in Andhra Pradesh, including two new centers. Dorcas Sewing Centers teach life skills to women to enable them to help break the stranglehold of poverty on their lives. Pastor Prakash reports that each center has between 18-24 ladies who are learning a trade and also hearing the gospel and being prayed with each day of class. Three new sewing machines were donated on subsidy during March.
Grace Home for Widows
Grace Home widows receive cooking oil
Grace Home for widows helps poor and aged widows in the church. During March, 58 widows were assisted with cooking oil.
The Bible women are working to visit the homes of Hindus that they know so that they can personally share their witness and pray for women in the community and their needs.
Tribal Pastors Conference
A Pastors meeting was conducted during March in Barremamidi and in the tribal area of Addateegala Mandal. There were 24 pastors in attendance at the meeting and two additional villages were identified for Dorcas Sewing Centers among the tribal people.
