Philippines President Duterte has stated that resuming face-to-face classes without a vaccine for COVID-19 “spells disaster.” (Reuters) Education secretary Leonor Briones (who is a COVID-19 survivor) has stated that online or TV classes would resume at the end of August (The Guardian). This policy of no face-to-face classes will have a tremendous impact on the General Baptist Bible College which offers classes kindergarten through college. In this video, two GBBC faculty members share their concerns. GBIM is raising funds for GBBC faculty, who do not currently have a laptop, to acquire one before this school year. Cost in the Philippines would be $900 each. Please use the form below the video to make a donation today. Simply open an account, select International Missions on the form and then type “GBBC laptop” in the note field that will appear. Please understand that once the need is met, additional funds will go to the Bible College general fund. General Baptist Bible College is perhaps facing its biggest challenge in 55 years. Please pray! Thank you!
