Tribute to Cecil Green

By Mark Webber (on Facebook).
A shout out to a man who was a positive influence in so many ways. As a missionary, Cecil Green (pictured here with a delegation of tribal leaders called Datus) personified the axiom, “Can Do. Will Do. It’s Done.” He lived to do what he could to fulfill the New Testament’s “Great Commission,” always stepped up and (tirelessly) did the work and, unlike some others, didn’t waste his energy trying to build personal monuments for his own glorification. Anything and everything the General Association of General Baptists have built in the Philippines has Cecil’s fingerprints on its foundation.
Cecil (deceased) and Betty Green served General Baptist Ministries for many years on multiple mission fields.  We are very grateful for their missionary service.  Mark Webber spent some of his youth in the Philippines as a missionary kid.
