Pastor Prakash of the India Association, reports the possibility of opening five new Dorcas Sewing Centers in February 2021. Four of the new centers will be located in the tribal area communities of Balavaram, Katavaram, Ankampalem, and Nelllipudi. The fifth new center will be in Nagaram but a teacher is still being sought for this center.
India Association operates 10-15 Dorcas Sewing Centers conducted for six months each year. Each center trains an average of 20 poor and underprivileged women. The women are taught each day through devotions, prayer time, and three hours of training in tailoring. As part of the ministry, sewing machines are provided for the most need students. This program provides livelihood training while winning souls for the Lord.
