The General Baptist Church of the Philippines met during the week of April 18, 2021 to conduct their General Assembly meeting. The theme of the meeting was “Resilient Churches: A Heart to Remain Faithful, A Hand to Innovate, A Will to Thrive.” This year’s meeting was restricted to district (association) moderators, board of trustee members, and auxiliary presidents due to COVID-19 restrictions. As the photos indicate, social distance and mask wearing were among the protocols of this year’s meeting.
The General Baptist Church of the Philippines is the largest General Baptist association outside the United States. They meet in April each year to conduct their business in a typically 3-day General Assembly. Reverend Jaime Maputol serves as moderator of the general assembly.
Please pray for the church in the Philippines as they maneuver through the difficult days of this pandemic.
