Historical Series: Island of Guam by Rev. John E. Cox (1913)

John E. Cox (1850-1932) was an important General Baptist minister who travelled extensively during his years of ministry. Arthur and Edith Logan arrived at Guam in 1911 as the very first missionaries appointed by the General Association to serve the General Baptists first mission station. In 1913 John E. Cox produces this little booklet to help educate the General Baptist people back home about life and ministry in their new mission field. It is a fascinating look at life on Guam in 1913 with some insights from the Logans as well as Laura Brooks who was also serving as missionary at the time of his writing.
