Saipan Community School is a private Christian school that was established in 1976 as the first Protestant school on the island, and as a non-profit educational institution by resolution of the Board of Directors of the Saipan Community Church on November 28, 1978 and is a ministry of Saipan Community Church. Saipan Community School offers a U.S. curriculum taught in English and has been consistently recognized over the years for developing academic excellence and character in a family friendly atmosphere.
The faculty and staff of Saipan Community School are individuals who are qualified by training and/or experience and whose lives are expected to reflect their Christian faith, including a commitment of high moral, ethical and spiritual values. Faculty and staff members are loyal to Saipan Community School and openly defend its educational views and polices.
Subject areas for Elementary classes include Reading, Language, Spelling, Phonics, Handwriting, Math, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, Art, Music and Bible. Band is an optional class. Course work for Junior High School includes Reading, Language, Spelling Math, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education/Health Art, Music, Bible, and Computer classes. Band is an optional class. English as a Second Language (ESL) classes may be required.
