Enduring Heart

This is Pastor S******. He was born into a high caste in the Hindu religion. He is an only child in his family, which means he has responsibilities to continue the family traditions.

When S****** heard the gospel and gave his life to Christ. His family disowned him after many warnings. When God showed him a village called R*******, he moved to that village and started preaching the gospel.

At the time, he was unaware that a Hindu radical group like R** was very active and had chased many Christians and pastors out of the village.

After much diligence, he finally had his first believer after two years. The following year, five more would come to Christ. One of these believers gave a piece of land to build a church.

As Pastor S****** and his six church members started building a church, they also started facing opposition from the village. One day, after working on the church for the whole day, the villagers came and tore it down.

Over a period of three years, the church walls were torn down seven times by the villagers.

Pastor S****** didn’t give up even when his life was threatened! It’s been seven years since anyone laid their hand on the church. Currently, Pastor S****** has 53 church members in his church.

Romans 12:11-12, “Do not let your zeal subside; keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, persistent in prayer..”.

As you read the story and testimony of Pastor S****** please take a moment to ask God to give us that zeal to serve Him in the midst of trials and temptations, oppositions, and persecutions.
