The images are disturbing. The suffering is more than can be described. The numbers are high. Everywhere you go there are so many desperate and just trying to survive. Dr. Rodney Walls states, “I’ve been out several times now, and each time I return with new images burned into my mind and a heart that aches for so very many.”
GBIM has distributed food to 100s of families that should last a week, Pastor Miguel and his wife Eduarda and others have prepared and served meals at shelters for 100s. We’ve bought mattresses and handed out. It doesn’t seem to be enough, but we push forward believing and praying that we are doing all we can.
The pictures show some of those that the mission has helped. Pastor Miguel typically speaks words of encouragement to the people as they come assuring them of God’s love and care.
Now we grapple with the question of how we can help church members and Faith Home alumni rebuild their lives. Thank you for your faithful giving that may make that possible.
